CLASS FULL-CAFE-Creative Art for Everyone, Botanical Drawings using Colored Pencils

INTRODUCTION TO BOTANICAL DRAWING – Darlene Sanders 

WEDNESDAY JULY 30 2014  10:00 – 12:30   Class Fee: $3  + $3 supplies fee 

Together we will explore structural anatomy and botanical terms for flowers and leaves and how to render them on paper using basic drawing tools and colored pencils. Darlene will provide various plant material and cut flowers for students to draw.

Supplies:

Drawing Pad or a Journal (if you prefer)

Drawing Pencils  (suggested sizes: 2H – 3H – 4H or HB) 

Kneaded Eraser

Colored Pencils (Prismacolor best for shading)

Small vase to hold a single bloom or cluster of leaves 

As indicated above, Darlene will provide plant material; however, if you have something special in your garden that you would like to draw; please bring a sample.
