Steph teaches landscape acrylic painting techniques.
Students will learn to create realism style landscape paintings using the layering method. Acrylic painters of all skill levels are welcome. Techniques will be applied to build confidence and accurately translate color, shape, and light onto canvas. Best practices in landscape painting will be discussed, including use of focal points, creating a composition, and use of color and value to create a mood.
Students will begin the class with group painting exercises using reference images provided by the instructor. Later in the class, students are welcome to work on their own individual landscape paintings, referencing their own photographs or reference images provided by the instructor.
